Cruise Details

Poseidon’s cruise boarding time is at 09:00 and we start sailing from Adamas port with “Arca di Mare”, a 45 feet sailing yacht suitable for 18 people offered with an exclusive capacity of only 10 clients. After a short introduction of our crew a safety presentation takes place while you enjoy your welcome drink and breakfast snacks.

As soon as the coast guard give us the green light, we start sailing towards the first traditional fishermen villages of Schinopi and the rich in ancient history Klima which was the first port of Milos and the place where the huge statue of Poseidon ‘’The god of the sea’’ was found in 1877.

The picturesque sailing continues to Arkoudes [=meaning Bears in Greek], a complex of “bear” looking rocky islets and Cape Vani, where the abandoned remnants left behind from maganese mining & the colourful rocks creates one of the most colourful and odd sceneries in Milos.

Then it’s time for our first swim at Kalogries [=meaning Nuns in Greek] with the famous fluorescent crystal-clear water. It sounds like your stomach is growling now, so let’s enjoy some local delicacies and continue our trip passing by Triades, Agios Ioannis and Sykia. Triades is actually a 3 neighbor sandy coves separated by cliffs but also a reserved area for the vipers of Milos! Agios Ioannis is an isolated beach, hard to reach by car or quad but the monastery that’s been built on a hill above the beach and dedicated to Saint John creates mixed feelings of love and everlasting devotion. While sailing at Sykia, we pass by close to the entrance of the cave to enjoy the view but unfortunately from 2020 we decided to stop entering it because we don’t feel safe anymore doing it. For us safety comes always first!

After Sykia we continue for a 2 hour stop to famous Kleftiko, a series of white volcanic rocks, sea-level caves and sea stacks with clear turquoise water used by Capetan Tromaras [=meaning the Scary Captain in Greek] and his brothers as a shelter for their pirate ship! Here the caves are offered for safe passage and exploration. The crystal-clear water in combination to the underwater life and the volcanic rocks carved by the waves creates one of the most beautiful wonders of nature worldwide and the best place to enjoy your lunch!

After swimming, eating & chilling we are ready to continue sailing for 1½ hour towards Agios Dimitrios[=meaning Saint Dimitrios in Greek], located on the Western edge of the gulf. The beach is only accessible by boat and the main characteristics are the bright blue water and the beautiful chapel on the small beach. After our last jump in the sea, Greek yoghurt with seasonal fruits is served.

Our estimated time of returning to Adamas port depends on the weather conditions and the level of experience our clients have with sailing. Our main priority is the joy of sailing for everyone and their safety. We are docking back to Adamas port between 17:15 to 18:15.
